Latest news on the house is that a new house is well and truly on the way on the land at the back that used too be the main sala of the original house. So far the structure is complete and we are waiting for the doors and windows to be fitted. We will be spending quite a lot of time in L:ahania this year finishing off the inside. When complete the whole house will be able to sleep six to eight. Sadly the beetle that came from north Africa and eats palm trees has attacked our beautiful palm tree and it is now dead.
This photo of our house appeared in 2006 on an advert for a new development called Pano Lahania. Not many have been sold so far. I expect a lot of people came to find a house as beautiful as ours and left disappointed. Cybarco did not ask us permission to use the photo but we were quite pleased to see our house chosen as a typical traditional house.
